Do you like it RAW?
Not a big Pepsi fan. Nor a big Coke fan either. I prefer American Dr. Pepper (not owned by Coke inc) - but don't even get me started on that - needless to say, living in the U.K., my addiction is not fed.
However, I must say, that apart from the 'Happy Factory' by coke, I think Pepsi is kicking some butt in the advert department. My opinions on their Coke Zero Blokey shite "a bra you don't have to fiddle with - girlfriend with cute friends - mobile with cool ringtones" just didn't do it for me, nor any of my blokey friends.
Now Pepsi doesn't always get it right either. I might not be in the right demographic, but I tend to think that being a creative I can take myself out of a demographic all together, but maybe not, because this ad, the Pepsi ad featuring the Black Eyed Peas, I just thought was horrible. And pointless.
Now however this ad, from Brazil or somewhere of the like (seen on supposedly 'banned' commercials on youtube) is extremely clever and simple:
Okay, to the point of this post: New Pepsi Raw.
Pepsi has decided to try and woo the health conscious people of the world with it’s newest Pepsi incarnation, Pepsi Raw. The fizzy caramel cola we all know is losing the artificial ingredients and are instead being replaced by apple extract, coffee leaf, cane sugar, and sparkling water. This change will also drop the drink anywhere from 10-30 calories, I’ve seen different figures floating around. As of now Pepsi Raw will only be served in certain bars and clubs in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Brighton, Birmingham, Leeds and Liverpool.
Some ads:
I like them. They're , well, Raw.
