Another year, another reflection

It's that time of year again for my customary birthday (of myself, not blog) blog post and keeping up with the theme of my past year, it's a big one. Yes, I have turned 30.

Okay, enough of that talk. Not that I think 30 is old mind you, and it's definitely not as old as I thought it was when I was 15, but am I where I thought I would be at 30?

Basically, yes! Which is pretty awesome in my opinion. I have an amazing job in one of the most beautiful & cosmopolitan cities in the world; creative, talented & intelligent friends and a supportive & loving family back home.

Am I surprised that I'm where my 18 self thought I'd be when I was asked to write a letter to my future self (must dig out)? Not really, because deep down I've always known what I wanted & I can be pretty stubborn. The trick is, and this is one of the themes from my past year, is to stick with your gut instincts. You have them for a reason.

Bring on the new 20s!
